The blade is designed to generate a minimum of noise. The noise is approx. the same as for a perforated blade. But the blade is less sensitive to clogging since it lacks perforations.

The DTBCU is a spring return damper which closes if the electrical power is off. The damper can be ordered with the following control option.

The motor has overload protection and stops automatically when the blade has reached its end stop. Although the current is connected, the motor is not damaged if blocked.

When the power is cut, the damper closes when the drive motor freewheels and the return spring pulls the blade back to its original position.

If you want the damper to open instead of close, you can undo the two nuts on the spindle clamp, turn the spindle 90°and tighten the nuts again.

In outdoor installation, the motor should be protected from direct UV radiation.

The motor is installed at a distance from the damper, which makes it easy to insulate the ventilation duct.

Shut-off damper with electric motor.

Consists of a DTU damper with a 24 or 230 V electric motor added. Ø900 and 1000 has two motors.

The motor is controlled by a single-pole breaking contact.

The motor has overload protection and stops automatically when the blade has reached its end stop. The stop can be continually adjusted. Although the current is connected, the motor is not damaged if blocked.

The spindle and motor can be disconnected from each other via a release button on the motor housing.

In outdoor installation, the motor should be protected from direct UV radiation.

DTBVU is a damper, which facilitates continuously balancing of ventilation systems and can be controlled by a superior control system.

The damper can be ordered with the following control option:

24 V motor with 2-10 V analog control signal
(motortype -SR-F).

24 V motor with data bus control; Modbus, BACnet, MP-Bus
(motorype -MOBA).

The motor shall be completed with control signal transmitter e.g. an external potentiometer or a proportionally regulating thermostat or an external control device adopted to data bus communication.

Shut-off damper with a pre-assembledmotor shelf

The damper consists of a DTU damper with a pre-assembled motor shelf.
It is designed to have a motor added on site.

The damper is equipped with a long damper shaft to be prepared to fit different types of motors, it has no knob for manual adjustment of the damper blade.

Ø 80–315 fulfils pressure class C in closed position.

Ø 355–630 fulfils pressure class B in closed position.

Ø 710–1000 fulfils pressure class A in closed position.

Motorizing

Important when choosing the motor is that it has enough torque to open and close the damper blade, see minimum needed torque in the table (M Nm).
On dimensions Ø 80–630 the motor shelf is provided with suitable fixing holes for Belimo´s LM, NM, SM, NF and AF motors.

On dimensions Ø 710–1000 the motor shelf is prepared for Belimo´s GM motors, dimensions Ø 900 and 1000 has two motors shelfs because they need two motors to has enough torque.
The dimensions Ø 710 and 800 can also Belimo´s EF motor be used.

The dampers DRU and DSU can also be ordered with pre-assembled motor shelf.

Has a turning circular blade with an EPDM-rubber seal which tightens against the inside of the damper when closed. The blade can be adjusted in a 0–90° angle.

The cup at Ø 80–630 can be complemented with the special insulation cup IK at insulation thicker than 50 mm.

The damper can be used for regulating at rare occations.

Ø 80–315 fulfills pressure class C in closed position.

Ø 355-630 fulfills pressure class B in closed position.

Ø 710-1000 fulfills pressure class A in closed position.

Application

The Controller is suitable for measuring and controlling air flow and measuring temperature. Communication is established via analog signals and/or digital signal using Modbus.

FTCU can also be commissioned via Bluetooth.

The OneLink app is the perfect tool to monitor and adjust the airflow directly via a mobile device, which speeds up installation and commissioning.

FTCU are provided with remote support via cloud solution for trouble shooting.

Design

The Controller consists of a sensor body attached to a damper body with Lindab Safe gaskets.

Two transducers are mounted on the sensor body and connected to a display unit. The display unit is mounted on top of a shelf on the damper body.

FTCU has a pre-mounted cable which makes it easy to connect.

The shelf, FTES, can be used for mounting equipment such as an electrical junction box or a Regula Combi.

Firmware

Upgrading the firmware allows you to always have access to the latest functionalities in FTCU.
